Youth Development Specialist

Afternoon Shift - 3:00PM to 11:00PM
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides a full range of safety and security services to the youth. Some of the specific job functions are as follows:
Supervises residents in daily-programmed activities, to include but not be limited to: structured recreation, movement, groups, educational programming, off campus activities.
Provides leadership in the performance of therapeutic activities.
Supervises structured recreation and work time.
Co-facilitates group counseling sessions and I.O.P sessions, and other services: case management, crisis intervention and med somatics.
Facilitates group meetings, such as morning meditation and closure.
Ensures compliance with clinical programming.
Enforces facility rules and standards of behavior.
Maintains and completes required documentation prior to the end of the shift. To include: Communication Log, Incident Reports, Progress Notes, and IOP Notes.
Ensures clients receive essential supplies, such as food, clothing and hygiene supplies.
Maintains eyeball supervision and proximity control to ensure clients are safe and secure at all times.
Performs issues interventions when needed, including safely and effectively managing aggressive behavior.
Monitors resident movement.
Conducts headcount at least every 15 minutes.
Screens residents returning to the facility.
Reports significant changes in the behavior, attitude, and physical condition of residents to appropriate supervisory staff.
Implements and supports the Abraxas mission and philosophy; follows the company s policies regarding professional expectations, code of conduct, and other practices and procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
