9 Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to train on 1st shift for 30 to 60 days before going to our third shift as our lead laminator.
A laminating machine operator works with special equipment and materials to cover, strengthen, and protect items.
As a laminating machine operator, your responsibilities include the setup of the laminating machine, performing safety checks, and ensuring the proper materials are in place.
Your job duties are to operate the laminating machine, maintain the rollers and materials, read and interpret job tickets and specifications, input the correct settings, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during operation of the laminating machine.
More specific functions include but are not limited to:
Reading job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Ensuring job and material is in order prior to machine set up.
Performing set up and activation of the laminator.
Loading and unloading roll stock.
Observing machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
Making corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
Meeting or exceeding prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set up times.
Performing minor machine maintenance and reporting any necessary maintenance to the engineering department using a written work order.
Working cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure the delivery of high quality products.
Completing required documentation and enters data into the computer database accurately and timely.
Participating in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic math skills, required.
Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.
).
Operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
Pay Scale:
Pay starts at $15.
00 per hour.
Additionally, there is a $1.
00 shift differential for 3rd shift.
